How to Store Your Motorcycle for Winter — King`s Bike | Motorbike Service | Motorcycle shop

If you put your bike away for the winter, a few steps now prevent problems in spring.

Clean and dry

Wash the bike, dry it fully and lubricate the chain.

Fuel

Fill the tank to reduce condensation and consider a fuel stabiliser. Old fuel causes starting problems on bikes that sit for months.

Battery

Connect a battery maintainer, or remove the battery and keep it charged indoors.

Tyres

Inflate to the correct pressures and, if possible, use paddock stands to keep weight off the tyres.

Cover and secure

Use a breathable cover and good security.

Back on the road

After a long lay-up, check brakes, tyres, chain, lights and fluids before your first ride. King's Bike offers recommissioning and spring servicing. Call or WhatsApp 07599 004371.
