For delivery riders, a breakdown costs money twice: the repair and the lost shifts. These habits keep your bike earning.
Change the oil more often
High mileage and constant stop-start riding is hard on oil. Change it at least as often as your manual says, and more often if you cover big distances.
Watch your brakes
Constant stopping wears pads fast. Check them regularly and replace them before they reach the metal.
Tyres and pressures
Check pressures every week and look for cuts and punctures. Delivery riders often wear the rear tyre quickly.
Drive belt or chain
Scooters use a CVT belt that wears out. Sluggish pull-away or loss of top speed can mean a worn belt. Chain bikes need regular adjustment and lube.
Battery
Lots of short stops can strain the battery. If starting gets slower, get it tested.
